About the Role: Seeking a Medical Screener to support donor eligibility by conducting health screenings, performing medical tests, and ensuring donor safety and comfort. Responsibilities include greeting and interviewing donors, verifying identification, recording health information, and performing vital sign measurements per SOPs and regulatory requirements. Reports to the Center Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Perform donor screening procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct health history interviews and measure vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight) to assess donor eligibility.
- Verify donor identification and accurately document information in the electronic system.
- Greet and engage donors to provide a positive and comfortable experience.
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and donor confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous plasma experience is a plus.
Skills/Attributes:
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and electronic record management.
- Strong attention to detail; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adaptability, problem-solving abilities, composure under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Physical Capabilities:
- Comfortable working around whole blood, blood plasma, and bio-waste.
