As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) (field based in the US; Ohio territory; report to USMA Mid Atlantic HIV Field Director), support HIV Treatment and HIV Prevention field-facing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely, accurate clinical/scientific/educational presentations to healthcare providers (proactive and in response to requests) per PhRMA and FDA requirements
- Implement Medical Affairs Plan of Action goals/objectives; provide field insights/competitive intelligence on treatment practices and trends
- Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders/opinion leaders; participate in advisory boards and educational programs (speaker training, clinical conferences)
- Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Development/Operations, Strategic Operations, Government/Public Affairs, Commercial, and Marketing
- Respond to clinical inquiries; develop/present complex scientific/clinical data
- Identify/develop opinion leaders; train approved speakers; provide sales force training (national/regional)
- Work on Phase IV programs (collaborate with investigators/internal teams; recommend sites)
- Complete required admin/training; adhere to pharmaceutical codes/OIG/Gilead policies; travel frequently (up to 75%)
Qualifications:
- Basic: 10+ years with BS/BA OR 8+ years with MS/MA or MBA
- Preferred: MD/DO/PhD/PharmD/NP/PA (preferred) with pharma/related healthcare experience; 3+ years relevant HIV treatment/prevention experience; knowledge of clinical research process and society guidelines
