Role Summary
Medical Science Liaison/Sr. Medical Science Liaison – Endocrinology role covering the Western US States. The candidate should have experience in endocrinology and/or rare diseases and be based on or near the West Coast near a major airport. Primary duties include interacting with key opinion leaders and healthcare decision makers to advance the scientific platform, supporting research, delivering presentations, and serving as a resource for medical and scientific inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Establish peer-to-peer and science-based relationships with KOLs and healthcare decision makers
- Deliver fair, balanced, and credible medical and scientific presentations. Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research
- Participate in conferences and meetings as a scientific expert; train faculty on scientific content for the speaker’s bureau
- Serve as a scientific resource for KOLs and internal personnel
- Obtain insights from KOLs to guide educational efforts in relevant therapeutic areas
- Compile and interpret data (e.g., congress presentations, KOL interactions, posters) to provide clinical insights for the emerging therapeutic landscape
- Maintain high ethical standards, including FDA guidelines, healthcare compliance, and industry best practices
- Guide and mentor less experienced colleagues

Qualifications
- PharmD or PhD in a health science field with 7+ years of field-based experience; 2+ years in Rare Disease and/or Endocrinology preferred OR MD/DO with 3+ years of related experience
- Motivated, self-disciplined, and comfortable working in team and individual contributor roles
- Excellent communicator and skilled diplomat; ability to blend scientific knowledge with communication skills
- Proficient in territory management and execution of scientific leader communication plans
- Ability to develop strong relationships with healthcare professionals and decision makers
- Proven track record of meeting goals and enhancing therapeutic knowledge
- Solid understanding of drug development and lifecycle management; regulatory compliance knowledge
- Ability to anticipate issues and suggest improvements
- Demonstrates broad expertise or unique knowledge; may have external presence in area of expertise
- Strong collaboration across multiple teams; leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent computer skills; strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines with accuracy and efficiency; strong project management
