Role Summary

Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-facing role focused on scientific exchange, stakeholder engagement, and generating medical insights to support product value. The role involves building relationships with external experts, advancing medical understanding, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Location: Remote/Field in Colorado Central North region and adjacent states.

Responsibilities

  • Engage external stakeholders in one-on-one and group settings, delivering strong scientific and clinical knowledge about therapeutic areas.
  • Articulate the medical and scientific value of products to external experts using disease knowledge, care protocols, and market context.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and other stakeholder partners.
  • Engage with stakeholders on medical, clinical, epidemiologic, and scientific topics to advance disease understanding within regulatory guidelines.
  • Understand healthcare policies and guidelines as they relate to clinical practice at local, state, regional, federal, and national levels.
  • Map, identify, profile, and prioritize stakeholders; seek opportunities for collaboration aligned with medical plans.
  • Plan territory and stakeholder interaction strategies using the Scientific Engagement Model in line with Medical Affairs priorities.
  • Represent Sanofi at relevant scientific congresses and organize educational meetings or local scientific advisory boards when requested.
  • Support speaker training to ensure ongoing scientific support in the field.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests for supported products and disease areas.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a technical, scientific, or medical field (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred; or other relevant Life Science degree with Rhinology and/or Gastroenterology specialization required.
  • Must reside in the territory; valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license with clean driving record; ability to pass background check.
  • Experience: minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical industry, MSL role, or relevant clinical practice; MSL experience strongly preferred.
  • Immunology/Gastroenterology clinical experience may be considered; strong understanding of medical practice and healthcare systems.

  • Understanding of healthcare systems, regulatory and payer environments, public health, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency with digital tools.

Education

  • Advanced degree in technical/medical field preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD) or Life Science degree with Rhinology/Gastroenterology specialty.
