Medical Science Liaison - Pacific Northwest

The Medical Science Liaison is a field-based professional providing medical and scientific support for Organon’s Women’s Health programs, including scientific exchange with Healthcare Professionals and Managed Markets Customers; identifying pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing study investigators; responding to customer inquiries with balanced clinical/scientific information; delivering clinically differentiating information; and providing clinical support and data presentations regionally and nationally.
Territory: WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, ND, SD
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with HCPs, professional organizations, patient advocacy groups, payers, decision makers, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in Women’s Health.
- Present data and conduct balanced peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with HCPs, academic institutions, clinical investigators, and stakeholders per policies/procedures.
- Collaborate on scientific communication plans, medical-to-medical materials, and research; facilitate research collaborations including investigator-initiated trials; support investigator selection and site performance/recruitment with Clinical Development.
- Assist with scientific training for Commercial and other internal colleagues using approved materials.
- Provide scientific expertise for speaker training and advisory boards as requested.
- Represent Organon at national and regional medical meetings and support Medical Information booth activities.
- Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information per policies and document requests.
Required Qualifications:
- PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, or equivalent.
- 5 years clinical practice and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Ability to build strong, long-term relationships with HCPs/decision makers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify and drive medical engagement goals.
- Understanding of clinical research methodologies and ability to evaluate/translate scientific material.
- Travel up to ~50% when appropriate.
Preferred:
- Women’s Health experience.
