Medical Science Liaison (MSL) β€” field-based (Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho & Montana)

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and HCPs; execute territory plans aligned to US Medical Affairs.
- Communicate key clinical/research insights from KOLs to internal departments.
- Deliver medical education via on-site presentations, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, and regional meetings.
- Provide scientific support for medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and sales training.
- Maintain expert knowledge of therapy area, Jazz products, emerging research, trends, and competitive landscape; provide objective responses to HCP questions.
- Support data generation activities (company-sponsored studies, collaborations, ISTs).
- Contribute to US Medical Plan development and local strategies; manage relevant budget where needed.
- Support Medical Plan activities (advisory boards, speaker development, clinical trials) with cross-functional collaboration.
- Document and forward adverse events/product complaints; adhere to applicable national/local Codes of Practice; act ethically and as an ambassador.

Required
- Ability to research, analyze, and communicate complex scientific/medical information; clear communication/presentation.
- Strong planning/organization, attention to detail, strategic mindset; self-motivated and autonomous.
- Negotiation skills; interpersonal relationship building/networking.
- Proficiency with digital platforms/tools; excellent spoken English.
- Travel at least 60% of workdays (driving required).
- Advanced degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent) + 3+ years in the therapeutic area.
- License (RN/NP/CNP/PA or equivalent) + Master’s degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years clinical practice.
- 2+ years MSL or comparable industry/clinical role.
- Willing to travel 60–70%; valid driver’s license; live within 60 miles of a major airport.

Preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare environment/geography; trust-building with opinion leaders.
- Regulatory understanding for field-based personnel; oncology experience; prior MSL success.

Compensation/Benefits (US)
- Base pay range: $160,000–$240,000.
- May be eligible for annual cash bonus/incentive and discretionary equity grants.
- Benefits may include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and flexible paid vacation.
