Role Summary

Medical Science Liaison, Oncology, Lung & GU Tumors (Central & North Texas) responsible for engaging in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with healthcare leaders to translate science into patient care, support pre- and peri-launch activities, and serve as a clinical advisor across cross-functional partners. Field-based role with majority time in the field, engaging external stakeholders and maintaining therapeutic expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Develops trusted relationships with academic and community Thought Leaders in Oncology through high-quality peer-to-peer scientific dialogue.
  • Engages in scientific dialogue to gain insights on the clinical landscape to support medical plans and launches.
  • Engages with medical societies, PAGs, and guideline committee members; provides training for external speakers as needed.
  • Strategically engages payers in pre- and peri-launch phases (with fHEOR and Account Executives).
  • Provides medical support to address unsolicited HCP questions in real-time, including via Medical on Call.
  • Document and achieve annual goals; leverage digital capabilities to enhance medical engagement.
  • Provides recommendations and insights to clinical development on study feasibilities; liaises with large accounts to understand barriers to patient access in trials.
  • Leads major evidence read-outs with clinical trial investigators; supports Interventional and Non-Interventional Research studies to facilitate patient recruitment and safe use of products.
  • Ensure pharmacovigilance documents are understood and applied; alert appropriate personnel to adverse events.

Qualifications

  • MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with disease-area experience or relevant pharmaceutical background.
  • Scientific/clinical research environment experience; field medical expertise preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Thought Leaders' environment and needs; strong oncology experience required.

Skills

  • Scientific publications understanding; clinical trial design and process knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly; strong presentation and analytical skills.
  • Technological agility with CE^3 and CRM tools; proficiency with digital communication channels and Medical on Call technology.
  • Teamwork, cross-functional collaboration; ability to work independently and influence matrix organizations.

Education

  • Relevant advanced degree or clinical license as listed in qualifications.

Additional Requirements

  • Travel as required; the role involves field-based work and driving requirements in some regions.
