Medical Science Liaison (MSL) β Field-based (Connecticut, New York City, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina)
Essential Functions
- KOL Development & Field Engagement:
- Identify/develop peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and HCPs
- Develop/execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs
- Identify and communicate key clinical/research insights to appropriate departments
- Support medical education via on-site presentations, investigator meetings, conferences, advisory boards, and regional meetings
- Provide scientific support for medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and sales training
- Scientific Expert:
- Maintain high-level therapy area/product/science knowledge and track trends/competitive landscape
- Establish trusted scientific/medical information source
- Provide clinical presentations and respond to unsolicited questions (as appropriate)
- Communicate emerging data/clinical experience objectively
- Support data generation (company-sponsored studies, collaborations, ISTs)
- Medical Affairs Planning:
- Contribute to US Medical Plan and local strategies
- Manage relevant budget as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally for Key Account Management
- Support activities aligned with the Medical Plan (advisory boards, speaker development, clinical trials)
- Standards & Values:
- Enhance Jazzβs image through meaningful scientific exchange
- Document/forward adverse events and product complaints per policy
- Adhere to national/local Codes of Practice; act ethically/integrity; ambassador for Jazz values; maintain development plan; timely reporting
Required
- Neuro-oncology experience
- Ability to analyze/communicate complex scientific/medical data
- Clear communication/presentation; planning/organization; strategic mindset; autonomy
- Negotiation; relationship-building/networking/collaboration
- Strong digital tool/platform capability; excellent spoken English
- Travel 60%+ (driving required)
- Advanced degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent) with 3+ years neuro-oncology
- License (RN/NP/CNP/PA or equivalent) with Masterβs+ and 5+ years clinical practice
- 2+ years as MSL (or comparable industry/clinical role)
Preferred
- Prior MSL success; knowledge of geography/healthcare environment; regulatory requirements knowledge
Benefits (US candidates only)
- Base pay range: $160,000β$240,000; may include bonus/incentive, equity, and medical/dental/vision, 401k, flexible paid vacation.

- Willing to travel 60β70%; valid driverβs license; live within 60 miles of a major airport.
