Medical Science Liaison (MSL) β field-based covering CT, NYC, NJ, DE, MD, Washington DC, VA, WV, NC.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Identify and develop relationships with KOLs and HCPs; execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs.
- Communicate key clinical/research insights from KOLs to internal departments.
- Provide medical education to HCPs (on-site presentations, investigator meetings, conferences, advisory boards, regional meetings).
- Provide scientific support for medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and sales training; support data generation (company-sponsored studies, collaborations, ISTs).
- Maintain expert knowledge of therapy area/products; support Jazz positioning as scientific authority.
- Present clinical information in group/1:1 settings; discuss emerging data objectively (benefits/risks).
- Contribute to US Medical Plan; provide local strategy input; manage relevant budget when needed.
- Work cross-functionally to support Key Account Management; support aligned activities (advisory boards, speaker development, clinical trials).
Required
- Neuro-oncology experience.
- Ability to analyze/communicate complex scientific data; strong presentation/communication.
- Planning/organization, strategic mindset, autonomy/self-motivation, negotiation skills.
- Collaboration/networking/teamwork; strong digital tools; fluent spoken English.
- Travel at least 60% (driving required).
- Advanced degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent) + 3 years neuro-oncology; OR license (RN/NP/CNP/PA or equivalent) + Masterβs (or equivalent) + 5 years clinical practice.
- Minimum 2 years as MSL or comparable industry/clinical role.
- Valid driverβs license; live within 60 miles of a major airport.
Preferred
- Prior MSL experience with strong track record.
- Knowledge of geography/healthcare environment and external experts; regulatory requirements for field personnel.
Compensation/Benefits (US)
- Base pay range: $160,000β$240,000.
- May be eligible for discretionary annual cash bonus/incentive and equity grants.
