Role: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) β field-based covering Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and healthcare providers.
- Develop/execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs.
- Gather and communicate key clinical/research insights to internal departments.
- Deliver medical education via on-site presentations, investigator meetings, conferences, advisory boards, and regional meetings.
- Provide scientific support for medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and sales training.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the therapy area, Jazz products, emerging research, and competitive landscape.
- Support Jazzβs positioning as scientific authority; attend scientific congresses.
- Provide clinical presentations and objective scientific exchange (benefits/risks) in group and 1:1 settings.
- Support data generation (company-sponsored studies, collaborations, ISTs).
- Contribute to US Medical Plan development and local strategies; manage relevant budget when needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support Key Account Management; interact with HCPs for aligned activities (advisory boards, speaker development, clinical trials).
- Adhere to codes of practice; act ethically; document/forward adverse events and product complaints.
Required:
- Neuro-oncology experience.
- Ability to research, analyze, and communicate complex scientific/medical information.
- Strong communication/presentation, planning, strategic mindset, autonomy, and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; capable with digital tools; excellent spoken English.
- Travel 60%+ of workdays; driving required.
- Advanced degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent) + 3+ years neuro-oncology; or RN/NP/CNP/PA (or equivalent) + Masterβs + 5+ years clinical practice.
- 2+ years as an MSL or comparable industry/clinical role.
- Valid driverβs license; live within 60 miles of a major airport.
Preferred:
- MSL experience with a strong track record.
- Knowledge of geography/healthcare environment; regulatory requirements for field-based personnel.
