Essential Functions
- Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and HCPs.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs.
- Identify and communicate key clinical/research issues and insights to appropriate departments.
- Provide medical education via on-site presentations, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, and regional meetings.
- Provide scientific support for medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and sales training initiatives.
- Maintain high-level therapy area/product knowledge and act as a scientific expert.
- Support Jazz as scientific authority; attend scientific congresses.
- Present clinical information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate).
- Communicate emerging data/objective benefit-risk information via scientific exchange.
- Support data generation activities (company-sponsored studies, collaborations, ISTs).
- Contribute to US Medical Plan and provide input to local strategies/tactics.
- Manage relevant budget (where needed) and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Support key account management and Medical Plan activities (advisory boards, speaker development, clinical trials).
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Neuro-oncology experience.
- Ability to research/critically analyze and communicate complex scientific/medical information.
- Clear communication/presentation; strong planning/organization; strategic mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously; learn quickly; flexible/results-focused.
- Negotiation skills; interpersonal relationship-building/networking.
- Strong digital/platform tool capabilities; excellent spoken English.
- Travel at least 60% (driving required).
Preferred
- MSL experience with strong success record.
- Knowledge of geography/healthcare environment and external experts.
- Track record building trust with opinion leaders.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for field-based personnel.
Education/Licenses
- Advanced degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent) + min 3 years neuro-oncology.
- OR license (RN/NP/CNP/PA or equivalent) + masterβs (or equivalent) + min 5 years clinical practice.
- Min 2 years as an MSL or comparable industry/clinical role.
- Willing to travel 60β70%; valid driverβs license; live within 60 miles of a major airport.
