Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Ohio Valley

Role: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) focusing on eye care, primarily optometrists and ophthalmologists, to facilitate scientific exchange and education. Responsibilities include managing key opinion leaders (KOLs), gathering insights to inform medical strategy, conducting disease state education, supporting clinical trials, and engaging with medical societies and payer communities. The role involves planning KOL interactions, scientific presentations, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on compliant, peer-based engagement. Requirements include a doctorate in optometry, MD, PharmD, or PhD with eye care expertise; 3+ years of industry or clinical eye care experience; strong communication and data analysis skills; ability to travel 60-80%, primarily within the Ohio, Pittsburg, WV, TN, and KY regions. Preferred qualifications include prior MSL experience or extensive clinical practice in eye care. The position is field-based, ideally located near Cleveland, Cincinnati, or Columbus, with a focus on fostering scientific exchange, clinical trial support, and relationship management within the ophthalmic community. It reports to the National Director of Field Medical.
