Role Summary

Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Immunology/Rheumatology for the Great Plains region. Field-based medical affairs role representing argenx, engaging with academic and community health centers, and partnering with cross-functional teams to advance the Rheumatology pipeline and clinical programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the highest scientific and medical expertise of relevant diseases, compounds, development indications and respective treatment plans
  • Be acknowledged internally and externally as an expert in aligned areas
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, HEOR, Patient Advocacy and other stakeholders to create thorough internal understanding of pipeline indication opportunities
  • Identify high-impact medical research projects and publication opportunities aligned with company interests
  • Attend meetings and congresses to gather intelligence and develop collaborations, sharing insights internally
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare KOLs to collaborate on research projects, advisory boards and educational initiatives
  • Collaborate with KOLs on evidence generation including sponsored, translational, and outcomes research
  • Identify, recommend and support principal investigators for ongoing and planned clinical trials
  • Promote clinical trial engagement through scientific exchange and presentations
  • Ensure timely and informative scientific/medical exchanges and education for healthcare professionals that reflect scientific data and objectives, compliant with medical strategy
  • Tailor engagement strategies to stakeholder archetypes and informational needs
  • Respond to questions from the healthcare community with integrity and in compliance with guidelines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure launch readiness and patient-focused operations

Qualifications

  • Scientific, healthcare or medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO)
  • 3+ years of field-based MSL experience in biopharmaceutical industry
  • Strong clinical and scientific knowledge in rheumatology; immunology or rare diseases a plus
  • Experience supporting clinical trial sites as an MSL to support trial milestones (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of the US healthcare landscape, including hospital systems
  • Understanding of compliance, legal and regulatory landscape for HCP interactions
  • Ability to translate market research and data-driven insights into actionable initiatives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and VEEVA
