Role: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) supporting PTC's rare disease and orphan products, including in Inborn Errors of Metabolism and Phenylketonuria. Objectives: build scientific relationships with KOLs, clinicians, academic institutions, and payors; support product education, market insights, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: represent PTC at medical meetings, deliver scientific presentations, identify speakers for advisory boards, support regional medical initiatives, facilitate educational grants, and maintain knowledge of competitive therapies and therapeutic advances. Qualifications: PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree; at least 2 years of MSL experience, preferably supporting orphan or rare disease products. Experience in genetics, metabolism, or high-cost specialty pharma, with proven ability to engage KOLs and clinicians. Skills: strong scientific data interpretation, excellent communication, ability to influence, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to work independently within a matrixed environment. High-Value: supporting orphan drugs in rare diseases, especially Phenylketonuria; field-based role with 50–60% travel; office/field hybrid setup. Travel: overnight and daily travel required, including visits to hospitals and clinics.
