Role: Field-based Medical Science Liaison supporting PTC Therapeutics' rare disease products, primarily in genetics and Inborn Errors of Metabolism, including Phenylketonuria. Responsibilities: build and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs, clinicians, academic institutions, and payors; deliver scientific presentations; support advisory boards and educational initiatives; gather market insights, monitor competitor activities, and provide feedback to management; ensure regulatory and compliance adherence; facilitate grant and research support requests; represent company at medical meetings and symposia. Requirements: PhD, PharmD, MD, DNP, MSN, MS, or equivalent advanced degree; minimum 2 years of MSL experience, ideally supporting orphan or high-cost specialty products; strong experience with KOL engagement, scientific data interpretation, and complex technical communication; proficient in Microsoft Office; valid driverβs license and willingness to travel 50-60%, including overnight and long-distance travel. Preferred: experience in rare diseases, especially Phenylketonuria, and supporting specialty pharmacy distribution. Work setup: office-based or field-based with significant travel.
