Role: Medical Science Liaison supporting PTC's rare disease products, primarily in genetics and Inborn Errors of Metabolism areas, including Phenylketonuria. Objectives: foster relationships with KOLs, clinicians, academic centers, and payors; deliver scientific education; gather market insights; support medical initiatives and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: attend medical meetings, communicate scientific data, identify advisory speakers, facilitate research grants, maintain stakeholder relationships, and monitor competitive landscape. Requirements: advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, etc.) with minimum 2 years MSL experience; experience supporting orphan drugs, rare diseases, or high-cost specialty products, especially in genetics or metabolism; proven ability to engage with HCPs, payors, and academic institutions; strong scientific communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to travel 50β60%, including overnight stays. High-Value: supporting rare disease therapies, especially in metabolism (e.g., Phenylketonuria), with extensive field-based engagement, and experience with specialty pharmacy distribution. Work setup: office-based with significant field travel; travel 50β60%. Experience supporting high-cost or orphan products and familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards are preferred.
