Position Medical Science Liaison, Immunology (Field - VA)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic/community research thought leaders, HCPs, and access stakeholders in assigned geography to answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR questions.
- Use multiple interaction channels (1:1, group presentations, remote, etc.); demonstrate proficiency with scientific resources and presentations.
- Present information and respond to questions with medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical/legal guidelines.
- Assess the medical landscape by meeting with TL/HCPs/Access Stakeholders; continuously update knowledge on treatment strategies, products, unmet needs, clinical trials, HEOR, and scientific activities.
- Understand competitive landscape and prepare to address customer information needs.
- Identify opportunities to partner with HCPs on disease-state initiatives, collaborative research, and investigator-sponsored research (ISR) aligned with BMS objectives.
- Attend medical congresses/local/regional meetings; communicate insights to medical/commercial teams to support strategy and business decisions.
Contribute to the Medical Plan
- Develop geography-specific Field Medical and TL Interaction plans; contribute to cross-functional institution/account plans; deliver scientifically meaningful medical programs.
Provide Medical Support
- Establish customer-centric, compliant collaboration with cross-matrix field teams; support initial/ongoing training and provide scientific updates to internal stakeholders.
- Support promotional meetings; participate in assigned congress activities.
Support Clinical Trial Activities
- Support interventional and non-interventional research (site identification/feasibility); provide recommendations to clinical development.
- Support ISR submission/execution and follow-up; ensure local investigators apply Pharmacovigilance documents and report adverse events.
- Support CRO-sponsored studies as agreed.
Position Requirements
- MD/PharmD/PhD/APP/PA/NP with disease-area or broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Disease-area knowledge and understanding of scientific publications; knowledge of clinical trials, national healthcare/access environment, HEOR concepts; excellent English.
Experience Desired
- 2+ years clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment; prior MSL experience; independent and team-focused; strong communication/presentation; peer-to-peer relationship building; ability to learn quickly; demonstrate BMS Values.
Essential Qualification
- Ability to drive a company-provided car; safe, ethical driving history.
Travel Requirement
- Travel required; field-based role requiring living in the territory or within 50 miles of borders.
Compensation
- Field (US): $166,090β$201,262 (starting range, FTE). Additional incentive cash/stock may be available based on eligibility.
