Position: Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Hematology-Myeloid (Ohio and Michigan)
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and enhance relationships with academic/community research thought leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders in the assigned geography to answer scientific and product questions (using channels such as 1:1, group presentations, and remote).
- Assess the medical landscape by meeting with thought leaders/HCPs to understand needs and expertise; continuously update knowledge on treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, and scientific activities.
- Understand the competitive landscape and prepare to address customersβ informational needs.
- Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with HCPs on disease state initiatives, collaborative research, company-sponsored trials, and investigator-sponsored research (ISR) aligned with BMS objectives.
- Attend and provide scientific support at medical congresses and local/regional meetings.
- Collect and communicate meaningful medical insights/impact back to medical organizations to support strategy development.
- Support clinical trials by enhancing patient recruitment/enrollment and discussions on safe and effective use of BMS investigational products.
- Provide study/site feasibility recommendations to clinical development based on therapeutic area knowledge and direct contact with potential investigators.
- Serve as primary liaison to investigators for investigator-sponsored research (developing, submitting, and performing).
Required Experience
- PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP, or MD with experience in Hematology/Oncology and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
Knowledge Desired
- Scientific/clinical area knowledge.
- Clinical trial design and process.
- Disease area knowledge and understanding of scientific publications.
- Knowledge of the national healthcare and access environment.
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written).
Experience Desired
- Minimum 3 years working in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment.
- Prior MSL experience.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Ability to translate scientific/clinical data for HCPs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build peer-to-peer relationships with TLs/scientists/healthcare professionals.
- Rapid learning of new subject areas and environments.
Essential Qualification
- Ability to drive a company-provided car; demonstrate ethical, safe, responsible driving.
Travel Requirement
- Travel required; field-based role. Live in the territory or within 50 miles of territory borders.

Compensation (as stated)
- Field - United States: $168,220 - $203,837 (starting range).
