Medical Science Liaison - Great Lakes (OH, MI, W. PA, IN, Upstate NY, WV)

Role Summary

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a key member of Global Medical Affairs, communicating scientific, clinical and technical information within the medical community, developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and serving as a therapeutic and radiopharmaceutical expert with internal audiences. Preferred candidates will reside near an international airport. The MSL demonstrates expertise and extensive knowledge in oncology, radiopharmaceuticals, medical imaging trends, clinical trials and scientific activities within the oncology therapeutic and medical imaging arena. Continuously updates this expertise and knowledge based on training direction and approved resources provided. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, develops and maintains long term collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in assigned territory
• Demonstrates strong communication skills with the ability to present approved scientific data of varying levels of complexity to internal and external customers in group and one-to-one settings, adjusted to the audience and in accordance with Company Policies, laws, regulations and ethical standards
• Responds and documents provision of accurate, approved scientific data in response to unsolicited scientific questions or requests for approved products/brands and for products in development in accordance with Company Policies and applicable laws
• Shares appropriate approved clinical/technical information in a timely manner with appropriate functional teams and internal personnel
• Utilizes advanced clinical and technical expertise in contacts with External Experts to gain insight into diagnostic medical imaging patterns, treatment guidelines and therapeutic advances in oncology, provider needs, and patient medical needs
• Identifies potential speakers for promotional programs and speaker training meetings
• Provides constructive feedback to speakers regarding accuracy and delivery of approved presentations and adherence to Compliance Policies
• Fully understands and complies with Pharmacovigilance SOPs regarding Adverse Events
• Identifies potential investigators for investigator sponsored trials following approved processes
• Adheres to applicable codes and laws (Compliance Code of Conduct, OIG Guidance, PhRMA Code, GCP, HIPAA and FDA regulations) where required

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD or MD required
• 2+ years MSL experience preferred
• Clinical experience in oncology, urology or radiopharmaceuticals/medical imaging preferred
• Understanding of current and emerging trends in oncology, radiopharmaceuticals and diagnostic imaging
• Proficient at translating approved scientific or clinical data into high quality medical information for healthcare providers
• Demonstrated leadership in a team environment with effective communication across management, peers, and cross-functional teams
• Highly motivated with a record of growth and achievement
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to change
• Exceptional communicator and presenter with strong oral and written skills

Skills

• Oncology and/or Radiopharmaceutical knowledge, including key scientific publications
• In-depth knowledge of a technical, scientific or clinical area
• Knowledge of clinical trial design and process
• Knowledge of pharmacoeconomic data principles and implications
• Advanced knowledge of the US Healthcare System and the Medical Imaging industry
• Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
• Travel readiness; 70% travel required; reside near an international airport

Education

• PhD, PharmD or MD required
