Role Summary
Medical Liaison - Diabetes & AD & Renal - MS AL. This role involves advancing scientific exchange, providing medical information, and supporting field medical activities to educate healthcare professionals about Novo Nordisk products within the MS and AL territory.
Responsibilities
- Administrative Duties:
- Completes administrative duties accurately and on time in line with SOPs
- Complies with guidelines, policies, legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements
- Manages regional business and operating budgets
- Maintains understanding of Novo Nordisk processes and assists others as needed
- Provides monthly reports on scientific support activities and budget expenditures
- Records activities in the customer response management system and expenses in Concur
- Advocacy & Professional Relationship Development:
- Attends medical/scientific meetings; maintains awareness of current issues and data
- Develops relationships with healthcare providers and IHNs; supports use of Novo Nordisk products
- Uses account management skills and scientific expertise to enhance value and collaboration
- Establishes medical account strategy/plan and identifies collaboration opportunities
- Field-Based Clinical Support:
- Collaborates with HEOR to deliver scientific value propositions and HEOR presentations
- Works with Marketing and Sales to inform scientific strategies
- Coordinates with trial sites to ensure timely initiation and completion of studies; supports patient recruitment and retention
- Coordinates with regional FMA team for integrated coverage
- Provides customized clinical education and manages professional relations within IHNs
- Coordinates with HSM to provide education to executives and formulary stakeholders to secure access
- Develops and presents product and scientific updates, including formulary presentations
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree required
- At least two yearsβΓΓ΄ experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, or managed care environment required
- Relevant clinical and/or therapeutic experience preferred
- Displays business acumen/knowledge from formulary process decisions
- Extensive experience in diabetes strongly preferred
