Medical Laboratory Technologist - $5000.00 SIGN ON BONUS

Role: Clinical Laboratory Technologist responsible for performing routine and complex testing in a high-volume clinical laboratory setting at Ascension St Thomas Midtown Hospital. Objectives include ensuring specimen acceptability, operating and troubleshooting instrumentation, preparing reference tests, and maintaining quality control to deliver accurate patient results. Responsibilities encompass specimen processing, reagent evaluation, troubleshooting, and supporting lab operations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science; 1+ years of testing experience or MLS certification; ability to work independently and in teams, proficiency with lab information systems and computers, strong attention to detail, and passing a color blindness test. Preferred: 1+ years as an MLS generalist, ASCP or AMT certification. Work involves second shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) or 4x10-hour shifts (1:00 pm - 11:30 pm), with some holiday work; may require overtime depending on operational needs.
