Main Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive transformation strategy for Early Medical that aligns with R&D integration objectives.
- Build and lead a high-performing, diverse team.
- Create a culture of innovation, thoughtful risk-taking, and continuous improvement.
- Develop talent pipelines to ensure access to cutting-edge skills and expertise.
- Drive strategic decision-making for early-stage asset development.
- Balance scientific rigor with business objectives in asset evaluation.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to optimize asset development pathways.
- Ensure alignment between early asset strategy and overall portfolio objectives.
- Serve as a medical partner to cross-functional teams for transformation across the medical value chain.
- Drive competitive intelligence and support establishing strategic partnerships with key academic institutions for Clinical Development.
- Shape clinical development programs to address US unmet medical needs.
- Shape protocols to meet local clinical practice and support faster operational execution and patient-centric strategy.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) in life sciences, medicine, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry with progressive leadership roles in local and global Medical Affairs.
- Minimum 5+ years of people management experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Previous experience in Clinical Development and/or Medical Studies (preferred).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing budgets and resource allocation for strategic initiatives.
