US Medical Director, Medical Affairs (Waltham, MA)

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute US Medical Affairs strategy aligned with global objectives and US market needs
- Lead US Medical Affairs launch readiness activities (with Global Medical Director and Scientific Communications) including scientific platform development, local congress planning, and local medical education programs
- Support US congress strategy execution (booth activities, symposia, scientific presentations)
- Partner with the Head of the MSL team on US KOL engagement strategy (identify, map, build relationships with key US experts)
- Support insight collection and synthesis; contribute to field material development with the MSL team
- Develop US Medical Affairs advisory board strategy; organize and execute advisory boards and expert panels
- Collaborate with HCP and Patient Marketing and cross-functional stakeholders to integrate medical perspectives into brand strategy
- Partner with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations on US trial site engagement and recruitment strategies
- Identify opportunities with the Global Medical Director to generate real-world evidence (RWE) and phase IV data to address data gaps and support HCP/payer treatment decisions
- Ensure compliance with US regulatory and legal requirements for medical activities
- Serve as subject matter expert on neuromuscular diseases and Dyne therapeutic platforms for US stakeholders
- Support review/approval of externally presented materials through Medical Review and Promotional Review Committees
- Act as a role model for integrity and compliance

Education/Qualifications & Required/Preferred Skills:
- Doctorate degree (MD, PhD, PharmD); experience in rare diseases; neuromuscular experience preferred
- Minimum 8 years of relevant Medical Affairs experience in the US pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Proven ability to lead US launch readiness and medical strategy execution
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with US KOLs and cross-functional teams
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific data to diverse audiences
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Travel up to 30% (overnights and occasional weekends)
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience managing direct reports

- $196,000 - $285,000 USD (base pay range)
