Role Summary
The Medical Director, Empasiprubart/Neuromuscular Pipeline is a key member of the US Medical Affairs team responsible for developing and executing the Medical Affairs strategy and tactics for empasiprubart with some input on other assets. This role reports to the Head of Neuromuscular Therapeutic Area and collaborates across functions to drive medical strategy, planning, and external engagement with top Key Opinion Leaders and Healthcare Providers to improve patient care.
Responsibilities
- Medical Strategy: Oversee the development of US Medical strategy and execute tactics that inform and enhance it, including advisory boards, steering committees, and insights collection. Responsible for pre-approval medical education across channels, launch planning, and evidence generation.
- Internal Medical Leadership: Build networks in Medical Affairs and Evidence Generation globally, and drive cross-functional working groups to shape US commercialization approach toward launch.
- Scientific & Medical Expertise: Maintain high-level expertise in neurology-related indications, contribute as an expert, and deliver training and materials for Medical Affairs teams.
- External KOL Engagement: Identify and co-create collaborations with clinical experts and stakeholders.
- Compliance and Integrity: Ensure Medical Affairs activities meet regulatory standards, company policies, and high ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD)
- 4+ years industry experience in Medical Affairs; home office medical strategy experience preferred
- 8+ years in biopharmaceutical industry, clinical experience, or post-graduate experience
- Experience in neurology, immunology, or rare disease highly desirable
- Proficiency in scientific and clinical data review and interpretation
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of US regulations and practices related to industry interactions with healthcare professionals and product access
- Remote US-based role; ability to travel up to 40%
