Role Summary
Medical Director, Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma Hematology. Lead medical affairs activities within US Oncology, executing medical plans for specified indications, and coordinating cross-functional efforts. Report to the Medical Head or Medical Group Lead and drive implementation of medical plans, insights-driven tactics, and budget oversight in Hematology/Oncology.
Responsibilities
- Support Medical Affairs activities in the Hematology Oncology Franchise, coordinating the development and implementation of medical plans (iMAP), leading key projects, and supervising budget spend.
- Influence the Field Engagement plan by synthesizing field insights into actionable tactics and adjusting plans as needed.
- Complete all MALT directives, support quarterly iMAP reviews at the CMT in collaboration with the Medical Lead, and provide cross-functional coverage by supporting the Medical Lead on the CMT and leading workstreams as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Required: Advanced degree in a science-related field (e.g., Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Medicine, or equivalent).
- Required: 3+ years of Medical Affairs experience with strong knowledge of medical strategy, clinical development, and field medical science liaison functions.
- Required: Expert technical depth in disease area ā Hematology/Oncology.
- Required: Experience in relationship and partner management (3PāS ā Payer, Provider and Patients).
- Required: Project and relationship management experience with a track record of strategic influencing skills.
- Required: Experience with clinical trial methodology and evidence generation (especially real-world evidence).
- Required: Business insight, financial and project management skills.
- Required: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and manage a diverse set of responsibilities.
- Required: Highly developed written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Preferred: Doctorate degree (PharmD/MD or equivalent) with Oncology specialization or PhD in Sciences.
- Preferred: Onco-hematology Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Preferred: Working knowledge of FDA requirements.
- Preferred: Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Preferred: Budget management experience.
- Preferred: Experience delivering country or global medical affairs plans.
