The Medical Director, Clinical Sciences facilitates assigned dermatology studies, provides investigator support for Regeneron-driven studies, and helps anticipate and resolve clinical and conduct issues. Utilizes scientific/clinical expertise to initiate, propose, design, and execute R&D programs for early and/or late stage assets. Reports into an Executive Medical Director, Clinical Sciences.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversee all clinical deliverables for an assigned clinical program section (e.g., protocols; clinical components of regulatory documents/registration dossier; brand-related medical information; clinical communication; publications).
- Apply advanced analytical skills and communicate concise, clear messages.
- Ensure medical-science relevance/accuracy for Clinical Study Concepts (CSC) through scientific review and consultation with internal/external experts.
- Lead effectively in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrate confidence and professional diplomacy with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- M.D. degree or equivalent (required).
- Specialized clinical fellowship training in Dermatology (strongly preferred).
- 2–4 years clinical development experience in industry (preferred); academic research experience considered.
Skills (preferred/tied to role):
- Knowledge of drug development process, Good Clinical Practice, study design/research methodology.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance landscape in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Physician-scientist who models clinical scientific knowledge.
