Role: Medical Director, Clinical Development overseeing clinical programs in hematology and iron metabolism. Objectives include leading trial design, medical oversight, and strategic development to advance Disc Medicine’s pipeline. Responsibilities encompass clinical trial planning, medical monitoring, data interpretation, regulatory document support, and cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Clinical Science, Operations, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs. The role involves external engagement with investigators and KOLs, and scientific communication efforts.
Qualifications: MD, DO, or equivalent; board certification or eligibility in Hematology, Oncology, or Internal Medicine preferred; 3-5+ years experience in clinical research or development, with proven trial oversight, medical monitoring, or study physician roles. Strong knowledge of trial methodology, biostatistics, and safety data interpretation required. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate complex data effectively.
