Role Summary
The Hematology Oncology Account Specialist engages Oncology specialists and other key Oncology customers within a geographic universe (academic centers, large group practices, IDNs, and community accounts) to support the launch of a Multiple Myeloma product. The role focuses on delivering clinically focused selling messages to grow revenue and achieve product goals, while maintaining compliance with all Regeneron policies and procedures governing promotion of pharmaceutical/biological products in the US. The role collaborates with Reimbursement and Access Specialists and Regional Science Managers to address customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Engage Oncology experts and other key Oncology customers within the assigned geographic universe and deliver clinically focused selling messages to support the launch of two bispecific agents to treat malignancies in MM, to grow brand share and revenue, and to deliver product goals.
- Facilitate partnerships with multiple collaboration partners (Regional Director, Territory-based Oncology Account Specialists, Reimbursement Specialists) to proactively resolve customer needs, identify market dynamics and trends, and develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives in the territory.
- Develop strong working relationships with aligned designated accounts and specialists.
- Execute market profiling activities to understand regional and local health care delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
- Proactively identify business opportunities with assigned accounts and coordinate efforts with the Regeneron Oncology account team (e.g., contracting pull-through with accounts).
- Develop a breadth of relationships within each account to understand objectives, goals, and challenges and identify approved Regeneron Oncology resources aligned to needs.
- Demonstrate dedication to compliance through understanding of regulations governing customer interactions and maintain focus on compliant behavior.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in Oncology sales; Hematology Oncology preferred. Buy-and-bill experience with biologics required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in group practices, academic hospitals, or key institutions.
- Current account management experience calling on large Oncology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of the Hematology Oncology therapeutic area and the current Oncology marketplace.
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate activity among individuals in different reporting structures; demonstrated leadership among peers.
- Passion and learning aptitude for science; proactive in strengthening knowledge related to disease state, treatment options, and healthcare trends.
- Willingness and ability to travel to cover a large geography.
Education
- Bachelorโs degree required; Masterโs degree or additional advanced education/certifications a plus.
