Role: Lead mechanical engineering for the Chrysalis Project, a nuclear facility expanding access to medical isotopes, overseeing design, construction, startup, and operational readiness. Responsibilities: manage a team of ~6 engineers and oversee contractors; set priorities, resource planning, and performance standards; ensure quality and timely delivery of mechanical systems, calculations, specifications, and procurement; support licensing, regulatory compliance, and configuration management; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Operations, Construction, and Safety; resolve field issues during startup; drive process improvements and represent engineering in reviews. Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar; 10+ years of progressive engineering experience; 5+ years in engineering leadership, managing technical teams; experience in regulated environments with a focus on quality and safety; strong communication skills. Preferred: nuclear, pharma, chemical, energy, aerospace, or defense experience; experience supporting large capital projects through all phases; familiarity with NRC, NQA-1, ASME, ANSI standards; managing engineering vendors and contractors; PE license or advanced degree.
