What You Will Achieve
- Provide technical leadership and engineering solutions for plant utility and environmental systems (HVAC, chillers, chilled water, cooling towers, steam, process glycol, heating hot water, freezers/cold rooms, fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, fire protection, BAS, and controls).
- Design and support HVAC and utility systems for pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, and industrial facilities.
- Develop conceptual and basis-of-design solutions (system selection, sizing, design intent documentation) and perform airflow/temperature/humidity/utility load calculations.
- Specify mechanical systems and materials (ductwork, piping, pressure classes, equipment, instrumentation, controls) and design/support mechanical equipment (chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, fans, pumps, heat exchangers, dehumidifiers, heat recovery, exhaust).
- Produce engineering deliverables (airflow diagrams, pressurization/classification plans, P&IDs, equipment layouts, utility distribution drawings, BAS philosophies/sequences).
- Support construction/field activities (drawing/submittal reviews, RFI responses, punch lists, startup, commissioning, turnover).
- Lead and manage multiple projects; coordinate cross-functionally and provide technical oversight.
- Update drawings/P&IDs/SOPs/validation strategies; ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, safety, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
- Support operations (procedure development, training, preventive maintenance improvement, equipment evaluations, Root Cause Failure Analysis) and promote proactive safety.
