Role Summary
Mechanic III, Maintenance provides customer-oriented service and support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsible for corrective and preventative maintenance on manufacturing filling equipment, isolators, vial washers, autoclaves, parts washers, and automatic vial inspection equipment. Requires a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control principles. This role operates on a 12-hour DAY SHIFT (2-2-3 schedule) from 6 AM to 6 PM.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Responsible Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Complete all assigned corrective work orders and Preventative Maintenance work with attention to detail and maintaining GMP documentation.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures in performance of assigned duties.
- Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logbooks.
- Support rotating on-call support of manufacturing operations 24/7.
- Work independently, with general supervision and instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.
- Work overtime and off hours to support customers.
- Perform lock-out tag-out to energized systems.
- Navigate in a CMMS system to find and close out work orders; schedule workload with planner.
- Performs small projects as directed by the Supervisor.
- Position requires knowledge and usage of hand and power tools to perform assignments.
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or related manufacturing environment
Additional Requirements
- Required: This work requires occasionally climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, moving/lifting test equipment up to 50 lbs, as well as working in clean spaces where gowning is required.
- Required: Ability to stand for up to 3 hours at a time.
