Operations
Position Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Maintenance Department in maintaining, repairing, and installing production line equipment, tow motors, and facilities.
- Perform mechanical and pipefitting duties without direction from another mechanic (First Class Mechanic).
- Maintain/repair: vacuum pumps, mills, pumps, power transmission, gearboxes, air compressors, chillers; scaffolding; screwed pipe repairs; tubing repairs/replacements; sanitary plumbing repairs; packing replacement; routine lubrication; bolt torque procedure; gasket replacement; and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Perform/assist with internal fermenter inspections and repairs.
- Perform/assist with code welding, general welding, and process piping.
- Operate and assist with crane operations.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance throughout the plant.
- Operate fork truck safely and efficiently.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical degree or Journeyman Apprenticeship strongly preferred.
- 2–5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment required.

Required/Preferred Skills
- Solid mechanical abilities and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail; strong decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication.
- Self-directed team environment.
- Computer proficiency (email/internet/online training; Microsoft Office) and familiarity with maintenance and/or ERP software.

Physical Requirements
- Lift/move up to 55 lbs; access all plant areas; enter confined spaces; work at elevated heights; may be exposed to loud noise, moving parts, fumes/airborne particles, and extreme heat.
