Role Summary
Materials Technician I in Rockville, MD. You will perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering materials, equipment and supplies within a cGMP warehouse.
Responsibilities
- General
- Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move stock or organize materials
- Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks
- Leads on-the-job training for new team members
- Trained as an L1 Auditor and participates in more than 25% of the departmentβs L1 inspections
- Shipping and Receiving
- Performs receipt and quarantine of incoming cGMP raw materials in SAP per quality and safety requirements
- Performs raw material control sampling and consumable inspection following appropriate material specifications and inputs into the sample tracking system
- Assists with the shipping of bulk drug product per cGMP procedures to ensure quality, integrity and on-time delivery
- Follows DOT requirements for transport of materials
- Inventory Control
- Ensures inventory levels remain accurate in SAP and performs periodic inventory checks
- Dispenses controlled raw materials in a clean room environment for cGMP use
- Performs bulk drug freeze-down procedures including use of controlled-rate freezing equipment
Qualifications
- Required: 1+ years of warehouse and material handling experience
- Required: cGMP experience
- Preferred: pharmaceutical industry experience
- Preferred: Valid driver's license
- Preferred: Forklift training and material handling experience; Cold chain experience
- Preferred: Basic computer literacy; Excel, Word; good reading, writing and communication skills
