      Role Summary
 Material Handler is an integral part of the Manufacturing team based out of the US - Chillicothe, IL site. The role involves safe and efficient operation of assigned tasks within the production environment, with a starting hourly rate of $20.00 per hour and potential for salary increase after 90 days based on performance.
 
 Responsibilities
 
  - Follow safe work practices and safety procedures
 
  - Follow quality procedures and work instructions
 
  - Set up, inspect, and perform all inventory movements to the production line
 
  - Ensure proper material is placed in the correct micro bin, Supersack feeder, pre-weigh container, or bulk bin for consumption
 
  - Add the appropriate ingredient and amount to the appropriate hand add station as directed by the batching formula
 
  - Recognize and take actions to ensure proper labeling of packaging materials
 
  - Execute safe and effective palletizing of material
 
  - Prepare sampling materials
 
  - Operate forklift for movement of materials required for production
 
  - Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment
 
  - Inspect, set up, and test equipment such as scales, load cells, and magnets
 
  - Routine inspection of control points as outlined by HACCP
 
  - Inspect feed ingredients
 
  - Assist in training employees on appropriate items
 
  - Perform housekeeping and general cleaning duties for plant and employee safety
 
  - Engage in special projects and duties as assigned
 
  - Repair/maintain equipment
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
  - High school diploma or equivalent
 
  - Ability to operate packaging and material handling equipment
 
  - Ability to operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, skid steer, pallet jacks, and other moving equipment
 
 
 
 Skills
 
  - Understand ingredients and product formulations fundamentals
 
  - Capable of keeping production line supplied with proper ingredients and quantities
 
  - Quantitative skills to measure and deliver material
 
  - Safety and quality mindset for tasks assigned
 
  - Ability to operate industrial equipment safely (forklifts, skid steer, pallet jacks, etc.)
 
  - Physical ability to lift 60 lbs repetitively
 
  - Ability to perform minor equipment repairs
 
 
 
 Education
 
  - High school diploma or equivalent
