Associate Director (AD), Marketing Science — Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with Marketing and Global Commercial Strategy colleagues to provide objective perspective and insights
- Formulate an insights generation plan to address a spectrum of business questions using appropriate methodologies
- Independently design and execute primary market research to address key business questions
- Define data analytics needed to answer ongoing business questions and support/oversee execution
- Run an analytics coordination forum to provide cross-functional alignment on analytics activities
- Maintain an “Insights book” summarizing insights supporting a disease area
- Develop the situation analysis for the Brand Planning process
- Maintain a strong understanding of the LRP forecast model and provide assumptions that inform the Long-Range Plan
Knowledge and Skills
- Depth in primary market research methodologies; experience managing design/execution of primary research projects
- Strong complex quantitative analysis skills; ability to run analyses and interpret results with advanced analytics professionals
- Biopharma commercialization knowledge; experience with go-to-market approaches and launch planning
- Experience with global brands and global market insights
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize complex information
- Proactive, trusted advisor/thought partner; anticipate issues and engage stakeholders
- Comfortable with ambiguity; able to structure problems and solution approaches
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (required)
- 8+ years in bio-pharma marketing, market research and/or analytics (or equivalent combination)
