General Summary:
Vertex is seeking to hire an Associate Director (AD), Marketing Science for the North America Forecasting, Analytics & Insights team within the Commercial organization.
Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Partner with Marketing and Global Commercial Strategy to provide objective insights
- Formulate an insights generation plan to address business questions using appropriate methodologies
- Independently design and execute primary market research
- Define and support/oversee data analytics needed to answer ongoing business questions
- Run an analytics coordination forum for cross-functional alignment
- Maintain an โInsights bookโ summarizing insights for a disease area
- Develop situation analysis for the Brand Planning process
- Maintain understanding of the LRP forecast model and provide assumptions for the Long-Range Plan
Knowledge And Skills (Required/Preferred):
- Depth in primary market research methodologies; substantial experience managing primary market research projects
- Strong complex quantitative analysis skills; ability to run analyses and interpret results with advanced analytics professionals
- Biopharma commercialization knowledge; experience with go-to-market approaches and launch planning
- Experience working with global brands and translating global insights
- Exceptional written/verbal communication; distill complex information into clear narratives
- Proactive stakeholder engagement; able to anticipate issues and plan
- Trusted advisor/thought partner experience
- Comfortable with ambiguity; ability to structure problems and solutions
Education And Experience:
- Bachelorโs Degree in relevant discipline required
- 8+ years in bio-pharma marketing, market research and/or analytics (or equivalent)
Flex Designation:
- Hybrid (remote up to two days/week) or On-Site (five days/week on-site, ad hoc flexibility)
