Role Summary
The Marketing Associate Director, Peer Education & Congress Strategy Lead develops strategy and executes national Health System Congress promotional activities (sponsorships, booths, media, product theaters) and commercial Health System speaker and peer education programs within the U.S. Commercial Pain Business Unit. The role also leads Health System KTL insight initiatives (strategic councils, advisory boards, KTL meetings) and manages day-to-day operations of HS engagement activities and agency partnerships. This position reports to the Director, Health Systems Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, strategy, and execution for HS Congress presence and activities (e.g., exhibit, sponsorships, booth design, product theaters, advertising, et al.) for JOURNAVX within the U.S. Commercial Pain Business Unit
- Lead strategy, content and implementation of all strategic account peer education programs for JOURNAVX composed of field scheduled speaker programs, HQ-directed speaker events at congresses such as product theaters and other online opportunities as available
- Establish team processes to achieve key thought leader advice to improve understanding of in-market dynamics impacting JOURNAVX and to strengthen promotional plans for JOURNAVX across the brand.
- Recruit, contract, and manage Strategic Council for ongoing commercialization advice across whole Health Systems team
- Support the planning and execution of strategic account led congresses
- Mentor a Health Systems Marketing Specialist who is responsible for tactical execution of congress activities and peer education tracking/support
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or scientific degree
- Required: 8 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Required: Experience with institutional and IDN marketing and/or sales
Skills
- Direct experience with communications review committee for review of tactics
- Ability to oversee generation of insights and apply those insights to business problems/opportunities
- Strong analytical mindset to lead others to solve complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategy, make strategic recommendations, and monitor performance
- Strong working knowledge of market forecasts and relationship of business drivers to revenue
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, including PPT, Excel and Word
- Experience in pharmaceutical marketing or closely related field(s) (e.g., pharmaceutical sales, ad agency, etc.)
