Role Summary: Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager of Market Transformation to join our US Market Transformation team. This role will focus on identifying, evaluating, and managing strategic projects that align with our business priorities, particularly as we prepare for the commercialization of an investigational acute pain product. The Manager of Market Transformation will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies, driving innovation, and collaborating across multiple teams to ensure the successful implementation of market transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Head of Market Transformation to define the vision, objectives, and strategic direction of the Market Transformation team. Conduct market research, analyze syndicated data, and engage with external stakeholders to identify and catalog strategic opportunities. Develop clear problem and challenge statements to guide internal stakeholders in conceptualizing opportunities. Create and implement an end-to-end framework for managing opportunities, including business case development, decision-making processes, and governance. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and operational efficiency of projects. Partner with cross-functional teams, including Market Access, Strategic Accounts, Commercial, Marketing, Contracting, Trade, Pricing, Legal, Compliance, and Leadership, to execute strategic projects. Lead change management initiatives, focusing on customer-centered design thinking, idea generation, and adaptability. Support the development and scaling of innovative programs, partnerships, and new capabilities aligned with business unit and enterprise priorities. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in healthcare or biopharmaceuticals, with a background in marketing, consulting, or agency roles. Proven ability to define and execute strategies, with a track record of driving innovative approaches to maximize effectiveness. Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements for pre- and post-approval activities. Analytical mindset with the ability to generate insights and apply them to business opportunities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive presence. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Technical Skills Required: Expertise in market research and data analysis. Proficiency in developing business cases and decision-making frameworks. Experience with customer-centered design thinking and change management. Familiarity with digital health, AI, and Health Information Technology (HIT) solutions. Ability to track and analyze market, policy, and competitive trends. Preferred Skills: Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo. Experience in developing and managing partnerships and alliances. Knowledge of emerging trends in healthcare and biopharmaceuticals. Pay Range: $120,000 - $180,000 Disclosure Statement: The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
