General Summary:
Vertex seeks an Associate Director (AD), Marketing Science (GKD) for the North America Forecasting, Analytics & Insights team. Deliver commercial insights to inform strategic and commercialization decisions for Vertex’s genetic kidney disease assets, maintaining a pulse on critical business questions and executing an insights plan using primary market research and/or data analytics.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Partner with Marketing and provide objective insights
- Formulate an insights generation plan using appropriate methodologies
- Independently design and execute primary market research
- Define data analytics needed to answer ongoing business questions and support/oversee execution
- Run the analytics coordination forum for cross-functional alignment
- Maintain an “Insights book” summarizing insights for a disease area
- Develop situation analysis for the Brand Planning process
- Maintain understanding of the LRP forecast model and provide assumptions for the Long-Range Plan

Knowledge And Skills:
- Expertise in primary market research methodologies; manage design/execution
- Strong complex quantitative analysis; run analyses and interpret results with analytics professionals
- Biopharma commercialization, go-to-market approaches, and launch planning
- Experience with global brands and global-market insights
- Exceptional written/verbal communication; synthesize complex information
- Proactive stakeholder engagement and issue anticipation
- Trusted advisor/thought partner experience
- Comfortable with ambiguity; structure problems and solutions

Education And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
- Typically 8+ years in bio-pharma marketing, market research, and/or analytics

Flex designation:
- Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or On-Site: five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility
