Role: Director, Market Access Transformation & Strategic Marketing

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own and integrate above-brand/unbranded initiatives across the Vertex portfolio to advance customer interactions across mega accounts and support broad, timely, sustainable access (solution development, implementation, pull-through, measurement).
- With HEOR, define strategic payer collaborations (health equity, quality, population health, etc.) with mega accounts across therapeutic categories.
- Partner with Access COE (data/analytics/insights) and CRM teams to track customer and data insights across the access environment and Vertex portfolio.
- Evaluate alternative contracting frameworks (VBC/OBA/warranties) and support outcome measurement.
- Deliver insights and analysis to shape GTM strategies.
- Own/manage market access assessments/environmental scans to inform long-range planning assumptions and develop action plans for risks/opportunities.
- Conduct annual landscape assessments across access channels (Payers/Mega Accounts, IDNs, GPOs, SP/SDs, Pharmacy) to support brand planning and prioritize products.
- Partner with external agencies/vendors as needed to manage approvals and budget allocation.
- Establish a value framework and communication platform to deliver a portfolio of PVPs via HEOR integration.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Expert knowledge of the US healthcare system (govโ€™t/commercial payers, hospitals, IDNs, policy/regulatory environment, flow of funds).
- Strategic leadership experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare; mega account experience.
- Understanding of alternative value-based contracts; ability to evaluate models and drive OBA/warranty-like strategies.
- Strong communication; presents to customers and internal leadership.
- Influences cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed environment.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree (Masterโ€™s preferred).
- 10+ years of market access experience across channels, including payer marketing, contracting, and payer account management.
- Typically 10โ€“12 years MA experience or equivalent.

Location: Remote, HQ or hybrid (3 days/week in HQ).

Pay Range: $208,000โ€“$312,000.
