Role Summary

Market Access Business Analyst & Data Architect (Part-Time Contractor) at Ardelyx. Part-time 20–25 hours/week for a 3-month assignment focusing on pharmaceutical Market Access and Specialty Pharmacy data to design data frameworks, address data gaps, and develop analytics-ready datasets to support business insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive patient journey framework leveraging Specialty Pharmacy (SP) data to enable visibility into patient access and adherence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable data and analytics requirements.
  • Investigate and identify data gaps within SP datasets that may impact downstream analytics or reporting.
  • Design and document business rules and logic to systematically address data gaps.
  • Proactively design and implement data quality control (QC) rules to ensure SP data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Design and develop Proof of Concept (POC) ARDs with the appropriate level of detail (LOD) aligned with analytical needs.
  • Pressure test ARDs, data models, and stored procedures for efficiency, scalability, and quality.
  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to optimize data structures and ensure alignment with business use cases.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience working with pharmaceutical data related to contracting, claims, and market access.
  • Minimum 3 years of deep, hands-on experience with Specialty Pharmacy (SP) data, IQVIA LAAD, Payer Spine and MMIT.
  • Proven experience in patient tokenization processes and the development of corresponding business logic.
  • Extensive experience in Analytics Ready Data (ARD) design and development, including data modeling and transformation.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles, business rule design, and quality control automation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a part-time capacity.
