Role Summary

Manufacturing Technician II – Days responsibilities include implementing production processes in compliance with cGMP and EH&S guidelines, organizing and leading production activities, and participating in quality teams. The role may involve line-leading duties and documenting process activities in routers or the electronic batch management system. Reports to the Supervisor, Manufacturing. This position is day shift (5:00 AM – 5:30 PM) on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply cGMP regulations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Lead and assist with movement of materials through inspection to packaging within the value stream.
  • Act as line lead as needed to ensure the line operates smoothly and meets daily goals.
  • Document process activities in routers or the electronic batch management system (EBM).
  • Follow safety and quality guidelines; maintain a safe and quality working environment.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams and support manufacturing operations.
  • Lead Manufacturing Technicians I in daily tasks.
  • Operate general production equipment (e.g., Downstream Automated Packaging lines, forklifts, hoists).
  • Move pallets between rooms within the value stream; communicate and work cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Receive and distribute supplies into the production area; complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.
  • Perform daily cleanings of the production area to GMP standards.
  • Train employees/contractors on procedures; communicate safety, quality, compliance, and equipment issues to the manufacturing lead operator and supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience or AA or higher and 1+ years of related work experience
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow detailed written and oral instructions in English
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team
  • Understanding of cGMP regulations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

Physical/Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to carry, lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs (with assistance of equipment)
  • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods during 8- to 12-hour shifts
  • Ability to work in clean room environments with gowning and protective equipment as required
  • Work around moving equipment and machinery; potential exposure to chemicals; hearing protection may be required
  • Must be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends, and overtime as needed
