Role Summary
Manufacturing Technician II at Takeda. Implements all production processes in compliance with cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines, and related regulations. Leads production activities, participates in quality teams, and documents process activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with movement of materials and products between inspection, testing, and packaging within the value stream.
- Serve as line lead as needed to ensure smooth operation and achievement of daily goals.
- Document process activities on routers or in the electronic batch management system (EBM).
- Lead Manufacturing Technicians I in daily tasks.
- Operate general production equipment (e.g., Downstream Automated Packaging lines, forklifts, hoists).
- Move pallets between rooms within the value stream.
- Communicate cross-functionally with other departments; receive and distribute supplies to production areas.
- Follow GDP/GMP guidelines and complete relevant paperwork.
- Perform daily cleaning of the production area to maintain GMP standards.
- Train employees/contractors on procedures.
- Report issues related to safety, quality, compliance, and equipment to the manufacturing lead operator and supervisor.
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of related experience, or AA or higher with 1+ years of related experience.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding of cGMP regulations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Education
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree or higher preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to carry, lift, push/pull up to 30 lbs with assistance where needed; stand/walk for extended periods on an 8–12 hour shift; move within and between rooms and the entire plant.
- May require bending, twisting, reaching overhead, squatting; repetitive motions; vision requirements for inspection tasks; color vision may be required for some roles.
- Work around chemicals; exposure to loud noises requiring hearing protection; moving equipment and machinery.
- Gowning and PPE requirements; clean room or controlled environment tasks in certain departments.
- Shifts may include weekends, holidays, and 12-hour shifts (5:00 PM – 5:30 AM) or off-sh shift hours; overtime may be required.
