Operations
A1 Shift - 6am-6:30pm Sunday/Monday/Tuesday & every other Wednesday
Responsibilities
- Safety: Create an environment where safety is the number one priority; drive safety improvements and conduct safety gembas; promote zero safety incidents in compliance with all EHS requirements.
- People: Deploy team members daily; delegate tasks to meet the production schedule; ensure training to job standards; run regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and survey action plans; ensure weekly time and attendance approval; communicate important info to the team.
- Operational: Assist in developing weekly goals and production schedules; coordinate shift activities to meet the production schedule; ensure safe shift handover with the next manager.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agencies; conduct routine material checks, line clearance checks, and spot checks; manage compliance issues affecting lot completion.
- Performance: Manage change-over and cycle time; identify improvements and support process improvement projects; manage resources to maximize throughput; accountable for shift training program (where applicable); know and support relevant metrics/targets.
- Development: Maintain a growth mindset; ensure employees have development action plans and growth opportunities.
- Operation Excellence (OpEx): Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Waste: Generate and manage non-hazardous and hazardous waste in accordance with internal procedures and local/federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; sciences or engineering preferred; 2+ years supervising/leading a functional team; regulated pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
- Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP); familiarity with industrial automation (DCS/PLC); cross-functional process improvement experience preferred.
- Regulatory: Working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and cGMPs required.
- Aseptic (if applicable): Experience in aseptic production preferred.
