Role Summary

Manufacturing Supervisor I (M-F, 6:30am - 2:30pm). Lead and facilitate safe operations in line with safety, regulatory and operational requirements. Ensure quality of product and services, achieve financial performance including cost reductions, and build a high-performance culture for the team.

Responsibilities

  • Safety: Create an environment where safety is the number one priority, drive safety improvements and conduct regular safety checks. Promote a zero-incident safety culture in compliance with EHS requirements.
  • People: Manage a team, delegate tasks to meet production schedules, ensure training to required standards, conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews, manage attendance, and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Operational: Coordinate shift activities to meet the production schedule and ensure smooth handover to the next manager.
  • Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance, conduct material checks, line clearance checks, and spot checks; manage any compliance issues impacting lot completion.
  • Performance: Manage cycle time and change-over time, identify and implement improvements.
  • Development: Provide training and growth opportunities for direct reports; maintain development plans and foster personal growth.
  • Operation Excellence (OpEx): Participate in process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s degree required; sciences or engineering strongly preferred
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred
  • Two years of manufacturing or related experience required; supervisor experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems such as SAP
  • Working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and cGMPs; familiarity with documentation in a highly regulated environment; good writing skills
