Role Summary

Manufacturing Process Operator in Training – Fixed Duration. Responsible for performing all tasks and activities in the assigned area, demonstrating initiative and ownership, and helping the department meet quality, quantity, and cost targets while maintaining safety, cGMP compliance, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assures that production operations are performed according to cGMP and assists in keeping the department inspection ready through self-inspection and daily housekeeping in accordance with cGMP.
  • Follow proper documentation and verification guidelines for batch production records, SOPs, equipment, and sample submission.
  • Suggests and implements departmental safety improvements and works with the team to identify and address process and safety concerns.
  • Work environment may include non-climate-controlled conditions and outdoor work due to weather.
  • Learn and operate several types of large-scale processing equipment (e.g., dryers, filters, baghouses, mills, baggers, pneumatic material transfers, fermenters, gas boiler, air compressors, water systems, chillers, cooling towers, forklifts, and material movement on/off site).

Qualifications

  • Education: HS Diploma / GED
  • Must be able to wear required PPE including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, respirator
  • Basic computer skills, good documentation skills, and strong teamwork/interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to routinely handle 50-pound packages

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working a days and/or nights, 12-hour rotating schedule; availability to cover days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • May require certification to operate forklifts, skid loader, aerial lifts, tank car loading/unloading, and others as needed
  • Ability to recognize problems, troubleshoot, and apply problem-solving techniques
  • Basic mechanical skills

Education

  • HS Diploma / GED

  • Location: Clinton, Indiana Manufacturing Site
  • Overtime varies by department and role; overtime available as needed
  • Completion of work simulation, post-offer exam, drug/background screening, and physical/medical evaluation
