This is a B2 Shift (7pm-7:30am) Wednesday/Thursday/Friday & every other Saturday
Purpose
The Production Specialist I will work in a pharmaceutical finishing operation to meet production requirements while focusing on safety and quality. Supports setup, changeover and packaging of pharmaceutical products and helps build a team environment on a finishing line, driving excellence.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures; use AbbVie approved tools to minimize extraneous matter in packaging.
- Perform housekeeping cleans; complete line clearances for lot and list changes; blow down finishing line/equipment on 1–2 value stream(s).
- Assist in setup of automated equipment in primary or secondary packaging within 1–2 value stream(s).
- Service and operate automated/semi-automated manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision.
- Perform quality-impactful tasks during the run (challenges, parameters, pulling samples, in-process checks, bulk/commodity accountability).
- Sustain 6S of parts and tooling across the production floor.
- Escalate safety, quality, technical and operating issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate and drive improvement opportunities through cross-functional teams.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and make minor adjustments to improve efficiencies.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent; technical experience/troubleshooting aptitude preferred; technical certificate or degree preferred.
- Demonstrated focus on quality and compliance with site policies/procedures.
- Ability to communicate issues to engineering and mechanical teams.
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn new programs.
- Understanding/experience with POMs, SAP, MAXIMO preferred.
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements/procedures preferred.
- Standing 8–12 hours/day; lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Work 40–48 hours/week; may work up to 60 hours depending on demand.
