Manufacturing Operator (Oral Care) β Kentwood, MI
Shift: 3rd (Sunday Night Start) Monday-Friday | Saturday - OT as needed | Work Schedule: 8 Hour Shifts | 10:30pm-6:30am
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities for assigned machine/area: monitoring, operation, setup, changeover, troubleshooting, and training associates; ensure customer orders meet specifications, quality standards, and schedule/work order.
- Operate equipment within safety standards and guidelines.
- Review production orders to verify customer specifications; ensure line runs per quality standards, production quantity, and machine specs.
- Coordinate assigned crew activities; communicate with material handlers during production runs.
- Perform machine changeovers: line clearance, verify work orders/specs, obtain required materials, verify batch and lot numbers, etc.
- Troubleshoot to ensure quality parts; adjust speed, temperature, air pressure, eyelet/needle, tensioner, scale factor, bobbin length; diagnose machine issues and communicate to Asset Reliability.
- Complete paperwork (in-process inspection, move tickets, daily production sheet).
- Enter data in SAP.
- Support GMP implementation.
- Participate in RedZone utilization as instructed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to understand/follow written and oral English work instructions (safety, quality, GMP).
- 6 months of manufacturing job experience.
- Working knowledge of computers; basic math and reading comprehension.
