Manufacturing Operator (Oral Care) โ Kentwood, MI
Shift: 1st MondayโFriday | Saturday OT as needed | 8-hour shifts (6:30amโ2:30pm)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all activities for assigned machine/area operations (monitoring, operation, setup, changeover, troubleshooting) and train other associates to ensure customer orders are produced per specifications, quality standards, and schedule/work order.
- Operate equipment within safety standards/guidelines.
- Review production orders; ensure line runs to quality standards, production quantity, and machine specifications.
- Coordinate assigned crew activities; communicate with material handlers during production to maximize efficiencies.
- Perform changeovers (line clearance, verify work orders/specifications, obtain materials, verify batch/lot numbers, etc.).
- Troubleshoot to ensure quality output; adjust parameters (speed, temperature, air pressure, eyelet/needle, tensioner, scale factor, bobbin length) and diagnose machine issues; communicate problems to Asset Reliability.
- Complete required paperwork (in-process inspection, move ticket, daily production sheet).
- Enter data in SAP.
- Support implementation of GMP requirements.
- Follow instructions for RedZone utilization.
Experience Required / Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to follow written/oral English work instructions (safety, quality, GMP).
- 6 months manufacturing job experience.
- Working knowledge of computers (procedures, computer terminals).
- Basic math and reading comprehension.
