Responsibilities:
- Supervise a shift to cover 24/7 operations with significant on-the-floor presence.
- Generate and maintain cGMP manufacturing/technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot and/or provide technical expertise; lead investigations.
- Ensure staff training and cGMP compliance.
- Execute plant start-up, commissioning, and validation activities; implement and maintain cGMP-compliant systems.
- Support finite scheduling, technology/process transfer, identify gaps/technology issues, define remediation plans.
- Provide support for regulatory and site inspections; provide input to department capital/expense budgets.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Master’s degree and 3 years manufacturing/operations experience; or
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years manufacturing/operations experience.

Qualifications (Required Skills):
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements.
- Significant purification operations experience for biotherapeutics.
- Strong quality focus and attention to detail.
- Execute downstream purification strategies: bioreactor recovery, chromatography, impurity removal, viral inactivation/filtration, UF/DF, sterile filtration.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership; strong organization/task/time management.
- Develop solutions for moderate-scope technical issues; analyze/interpret and communicate data.
- Motivated self-starter with mechanical aptitude; strong interpersonal/team skills.
- May lead cross-functional teams; may be core lead in NPI.
- Respond to equipment alarms.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Manage/supervise/develop staff; in-depth purification equipment/engineering knowledge.
- Disposable manufacturing mastery at commercial scale; participation in audits.
- Lead deviation investigations/CAPA or coordinate advanced troubleshooting (incl. vendor involvement).
- DeltaV automation understanding; technology/process transfer experience; complex problem-solving and technical projects.
- Finite scheduling and resource/equipment allocation experience.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated):
- Base pay range: $100,000–$150,000.
